One man was arrested following a robbery at a jewellery shop in central London on Tuesday, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was resourceful enough to arm himself with a loaded revolver but Jason Keogh, who stole a cash box in Enfield, skimped on the mask, using a pair of underpants instead. He has been jailed for seven years and two months.
The owner of the restaurant in Italy survived three gunshot wounds sustained in the fight.
The five men stole jewellery with an estimated value of 4.5 million euros. Three were arrested nearby.
