Want a fake passport? How about an arsenal of guns? Or just click online and with anonymity assured you could be dealing in drugs. It’s all there in a hidden black market called the Dark Net.

On the Frontline shines a light into the shadows of the Dark Net, a hidden part of the web which is only accessible with special software like the Tor browser. It is increasingly being used for crime and the potential for terrorism has raised many questions across the globe.

How can authorities and regulators strike a balance between maintaining security while at the same time protecting privacy and civil liberties?

Those are the issues Paul Hackett explores with a panel of two experts: Rob Wainwright, Director of Europol and Preston Byrne, Chief Operating Officer for Eris Industries, which builds encrypted systems.
