On Monday, just hours after her official spokesman told the media that she would definitely not back down on her long standing promise to put her Brexit deal to a vote in parliament, she stood up to declare a u-turn.
The next day, she headed off to Europe to seek additional concessions, only to be met with a chorus of rejections from leaders across the continent.
