It's been a tough week for British prime minister Theresa May... and it's just beginning.

On Monday, just hours after her official spokesman told the media that she would definitely not back down on her long standing promise to put her Brexit deal to a vote in parliament, she stood up to declare a u-turn.

The next day, she headed off to Europe to seek additional concessions, only to be met with a chorus of rejections from leaders across the continent.

And when she arrived to see Angela Merkel, this happened....
