Held in Belgium since his arrest last April, terror suspect Mohamed Abrini was taken to France on Monday where he was placed under formal investigation over the Paris terror attacks of November 2015 in which 130 people died.

Dubbed ‘the man in the hat’ after being filmed with the Brussels airport bombers, he is also a key suspect in that investigation.

Thirty-two people died in March last year in attacks on the airport and at a metro station in the Belgian capital.

ISIL claimed responsibility for the attacks in both Paris and Brussels.
