Weather forecasters are predicting record temperatures across Europe
Temperatures expected to break all-time highs for June in the coming days as a heatwave is about to sweep through the continent. Today Paris is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, Frankfurt 35C and Madrid 37C. Tomorrow temperatures are expected to rise even further with 42C in Northern Spain.

France's environment targets discussed
In France, the National Assembly will discuss its carbon neutral objectives this week. The new proposals will set a 2050 target for the country to be carbon neutral. It will also pledge to halve its reliance on nuclear energy by 2035 and close all its coal-fired power stations within 3 years.
