A drone strike hit a passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring dozens more, according to Kuwaiti authorities.
Surveillance footage released by the country's civil aviation authority showed the moment the aircraft slammed into the building, causing significant damage.
Officials said the attack briefly forced the closure of the airport, which had only reopened days earlier after a prolonged shutdown linked to regional conflict. Kuwait's Defence Ministry blamed Iran and said multiple drones and missiles were intercepted. Iran denied targeting the airport and claimed the damage was caused by a failed interceptor. Authorities later partially resumed operations, with limited flights departing from an alternative terminal.
