Bodycam footage released by UK police shows a dying student who had been falsely accused of racially abusing a Sikh man who stabbed him in the street.
Police bodycam footage has sparked controversy in the UK after showing the treatment of 18-year-old Southampton student Henry Nowak following a fatal stabbing.
The footage shows Nowak being handcuffed after he was stabbed by 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, who falsely claimed to officers that he had been the victim of a racist attack.
Digwa has since been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 21 years. Nowak's parents said Digwa alone was responsible for their son's murder, but described the police response as inhumane and degrading.
Hampshire Police has apologised to the family, and the case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for review.
