In an exclusive Euronews interview, Armenia and Azerbaijan’s top representatives publicly detailed how a once-unthinkable peace process has evolved into a shared strategy for stability and economic transformation.
Armenia’s Armen Grigoryan and Azerbaijan’s Hikmet Hajiyev sat together publicly for the first time, telling Euronews that the peace process launched in 2020 has become “irreversible” and rooted in growing trust.
Supported by the EU and sealed by a US-brokered agreement, the rapprochement is now shifting toward regional integration. Both sides say new economic corridors, including the planned US-backed transport link, will redefine Eurasian connectivity.
The representatives stressed that peace is now a generational commitment and that cooperation, not rivalry, will guide the region’s future.
