This announcement comes at a time when a Ukrainian delegation is visiting the United States to discuss the American peace plan.
On Saturday, the Élysée announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be coming to Paris on Monday. He will be received by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron's office said the two leaders will “discuss the situation and the conditions for a just and lasting peace, in continuity with the Geneva discussions, the American plan, and in close coordination with our European partners.”
"We will welcome President Zelensky to Paris on Monday to move the negotiations forward," French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot told local press.
"Peace is within reach, if Vladimir Putin abandons his delusional hope of reconstituting the Soviet Empire by first subjugating Ukraine," he said.

American negotiators are due to visit Moscow later this week.
Kyiv's European allies are determined to play a role in the talks currently taking place. The last meeting of the coalition of the willing was held on Tuesday.
Volodymyr Zelensky recently visited France as part of a drive to strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.
