Police have not given a motive for the fatal shooting in a village in County Fermanagh, but one local lawmaker called it "a domestic incident."

A shooting in Northern Ireland on Wednesday left three members of a household dead — including two children — and another seriously wounded, authorities said
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said that there was no ongoing risk to the public from the shooting outside the village of Maguiresbridge in County Fermanagh, located about 120 kilometres southwest of Belfast.
Police and paramedics were called to an address in the village after 7 am local time on Wednesday morning. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were taken to hospitals, where one later died. The fourth — an adult man — was in serious condition, police said.
“All four had sustained gunshot wounds, and I can confirm that all four individuals are from the same household,” police Superintendent Robert McGowan said.
Later on Wednesday, police said they had begun a murder investigation. No arrests have been made and police said they do not anticipate that this will change.
In a post on X, Jemma Dolan, a Sinn Fein member of the Northern Ireland Assembly from the area, called it "a domestic incident."
"I am in shock but my initial thoughts are with the deceased and their wider family circle," she wrote. "Please do not speculate, let the investigation run its course."
Democratic Unionist Party assembly member Deborah Erskine said that the community was "stunned" by the shooting in "a rural, quiet area."
"Everyone is deeply affected by what has happened this morning," she said.
"My deepest condolences are with the families of those who have been killed as a result of this incident. Their lives have been turned upside down this morning."
