In Turkey, arrest warrants have been issued for 35 people, including nine journalists, linked to last July’s attempted military coup.

State-run news agency Anadolu said they are accused of using an encrypted messaging app and being members of a network run by US based cleric Fethullah Gullen.

Ankara blames Gullen for orchestrating last year’s failed uprising, but the on-going crackdown, notably against journalists, has alarmed Turkey’s western allies and human-rights groups.
