French president sets out agenda at Versailles
French President Emmanuel Macron has set out his vision for the French ‘renaissance’ at the palace of Versailles.
The newly elected head of chose to set out his agenda to both houses of parliament at the former seat of the French kings.

Beforehand a minute’s silence was held following the death of politician and activist Simone Veil.

“There will be alienation if we do not balance our budget, if we do not reduce our public debt. Alienation to other countries in Europe and our alliances if we do not put our affairs in order “Alienation to Islamist terrorism if we do not find a way to destroy it without giving it up to our values, our principles.”
