The petition, posted before the referendum, demanded another ballot if the votes of ‘Vote Leave’ or ‘Remain’ fell below 60 percent with a 75 percent turnout.
The Brexit turnout hit 72 percent with 52 percent backing Brexit.
Parliament must consider a debate on any petition posted that contains 100,000 signatures.
