Kenyan man offers Obama livestock in return for his daughter Malia’s hand in marriage
President Obama’s elder daughter Malia, 16, is the ‘object’ of Kenyan lawyer Felix Kiprono’s hopes to wed.
He has offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats — not to Malia but her father.
“I got interested in her in 2008,” Kiprono said, in an interview with The Nairobian newspaper.
“I haven’t dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her.”
Obama is to make his first presidential visit to Kenya, his father’s country of birth, in July. Kiprono said he intended to put his offer of marriage to him then.
“I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (maize porridge) and prepare mursik (curdled milk).”

Eurovison: Austrian candidates claim they are “zeros”
In Vienna, the "Makemakes" representing Austria were not able to reproduce the success of Conchita Wurst’s performance of last year. In fact, they finished last with zero points. But they have not lost their sense of humour, as they parodied the song "We are the heroes of our time" by Måns Zelmerlöw, the Swedish candidate who won competition this year. The title of their reinterpretation: “We are the zeroes of our time”.
We are the ZEROES of our time

Rome says it may use Colosseum for 2024 Olympics
Rome Mayor Ignazio Marino said Friday that Olympic athletes should receive their medals at the ancient Colosseum “like gladiators” if Italy wins its bid to play host to the 2024 Olympics.
The superintendent for Rome’s Archaeological Heritage, Francesco Prosperetti, said he didn’t want to comment on the merits of Marino’s idea but that it underlines the need for “well-structured” planning of the Colosseum’s restoration.

Masturbating can get your hands pregnant when you die, warns Muslim televangelist
Ryan Barrell wrote in The Huffington Post UK:
Self-styled televangelist Mücahid Cihad Han supposedly made the claim in response to a call from a man who “kept masturbating, although he was married, and even during the Umrah,” a pilgrimage similar to the Hajj.
Hearing the man’s plight, Han stated that masturbation is forbidden in Islam and went on to say: “…those who have sexual intercourse with their hands will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife.”
Tweeters took the opportunity to mock Han, with one asking: “Are there any hand-gynaecologists in the afterlife? Is abortion allowed there?”
Han told the caller to “resist Satan’s temptations”.
Danish radio station defends killing baby rabbit live on air

The host, Asger Juhl, killed the baby rabbit, called Allan, “according to careful instructions by a professional animal caretaker from a Danish zoo”, station 24/7 said on Tuesday. He later took the rabbit home, skinned it and cooked it.
