Demonstrators had marched in support of Iran and mourned the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed in US-Israeli airstrikes.

Some protesters attempted to approach the restricted area before being pushed back by police.

The protest comes amid rising tensions and reported attacks by Iran-backed militias on US bases in Iraq.
