Thousands of Minnesotans march through downtown Minneapolis, the US, braving the bitter cold as part of a broader strike and protest against federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations.

Protesters marched in Minneapolis on Friday as part of a nationwide “National Shutdown” demonstration against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Crowds marched with signs blasting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in response to a call for a "national shutdown" across the United States.

Chanting slogans such as “shut it down” and “ICE out,” demonstrators called for an end to the agency’s operations.

Protests were also held in cities across the US, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
