Crowd trouble delays Lyon match-Man United draw with Anderlecht

Crowd trouble delayed the start of the Lyon Besiktas Europa League quarter final match.

Fireworks and other objects were hurled by Besiktas fans from the upper stands and those below took shelter on the pitch.

The game kicked off 45 minutes late. Fans had also clashed outside the ground.

On the pitch the visitors took a first half lead.

Then Lyon hit with two in the 83rd and 84th minute to steal the game.

Lyon 2-1 Besiktas.

Manchester United came away from Anderlecht with a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final.

United took the lead thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The home side equalised at death thanks to Leander Dendoncker.

Anderlecht 1-1 Manchester United.

In the other quarters

Ajax beat Shalke 2-0
and Celta Vigo grabbed a 3-2 win against Genk.
