United Airlines have been the subject of much public ridicule in recent weeks, now even some competitors are getting in on the action.
United has had to deal with negative fallout after Dr. David Dao was forcibly dragged off an overbooked flight. This coming just weeks after facing backlash for banning two young girls from a flight for wearing leggings.
Now, some Middle Eastern airlines are taking this opportunity to promote their businesses while making jokes at United’s expense.
Jordan’s flag carrier airline, Royal Jordanian, dealt the first blow with this pun-laden tweet reminding passengers that onboard smoking is prohibited.
Emirates was named the world’s best airline for 2017 by TripAdvisor, but even they couldn’t resist taking a shot at the United company slogan “fly the friendly skies”.

Qatar Airways completed the hat trick of ridicules with a subtle dig in their app update which they ensured nobody would miss with this tweet.
