Romania's new strategy to attract travellers

At the World Travel Market 2016 in London, the leading event for the global travel industry, euronews spoke to Anca Pavel-Nedea, President of the National Authority for Tourism Romania, about the new strategy her country is implementing when it comes to attracting travellers.

2016 is the year when we changed our strategy. We tried to reposition Romania as a whole destination and now we address to versatile consumers in new trends like the smart traveller, the experiential traveller, who wants to experience the life of the destination and not just stay at a hotel and consume food, beverage, and maybe an event but feel the life of the people in that touristic destination.
