Two men aged 19 and 66 are being questioned by police in Northern Ireland after a stolen fire engine went on a trail of destruction.

Its lights flashing, it smashed into cars and houses in Larne in County Antrim.

Taken from a fire station in the early hours of Saturday morning, the runaway fire engine could have hit people had it crashed during the day, according to emergency services.
