Mexico City Airport opens first sleep capsule hotel.

The sight of someone having a nap in the airport is a common one, but Mexico City is also making it a more comfortable one.

It has opened its first capsule hotel, for as little as 25 euros per night.

Alonso Gutierrez was one of the guests: “Staying in any other hotel, with the same comforts, would have cost me between around 90 and 140 euros a night. The prices are very actually quite reasonable here.”

Each pod is around two-metres long and one-metre wide, a welcome alternative to lounging on an airport seat, as Enrique explained: “It is very practical. I can see that the bed in the room is very comfortable, security is excellent. The cost is very accessible.”
