The French city of Lyon is in the process of doubling the size of its urban centre, by creating a new district built on marshland reclaimed in the 18th and 19th centuries. The area is bringing in thousands of new workers and residents, with ultra-modern architecture. Check out our slideshow of some of the striking designs and construction.
