Thousands of Belgian teenagers skipped school for a sixth straight week to ask the government for better climate protection.

They have been joined by university students and grandparents. Several pink vests also participate in the march to "protect those who want to protect the planet".

Police say around 11,000 people took the streets in Brussels.

Students intend to keep the pressure at least until the national and the European Union elections.
