Ecologists say native grasses could be crucial in protecting the environment from future fires.

Greenery is returning to parts of the Adelaide Hills in Southern Australia, after they were devastated by bushfires late last year.

Ecologist Joan Gibbs is on a mission to heal the scorched earth from the ground up, using native grasses and other innovative techniques to safeguard the land from further destruction.
