In this episode of Focus, we report from Astana, where media policymakers from across Central Asia gathered to strengthen regional cooperation and tackle global challenges facing the industry.
During the forum, delegates discussed the launch of a common media platform, based on Kazakhstan’s Silk Way TV channel. The initiative aims to foster professional ties within the region and elevate Central Asia’s media presence on the global stage.
Plans were also announced for a regional Media Academy and a dedicated professional award — both designed to enhance integration and support the development of media professionals across the region.
The event concluded with a series of masterclasses for regional journalists, led by top international outlets including Euronews, CNN, and independent journalists.
