Britain’s Catherine, Princess of Wales traveled to Reggio Emilia in northern Italy on Wednesday for a two-day visit focused on early childhood education.

The trip marks her first official overseas engagement since announcing in early 2025 that her cancer was in remission. Footage showed Catherine greeting children, meeting local officials and visiting the city hall alongside Reggio Emilia Mayor Marco Massari.
The visit focuses on the internationally recognised Reggio Emilia educational approach, which encourages child-led learning and creative development during early childhood.
