Israel's military said it had spotted suspects who were operating a drone that posed a threat to its troops.

At least 11 people, including three journalists, were killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza on Wednesday, according to local hospital officials.

One of the attacks targeted a vehicle belonging to the Egyptian Relief Committee in the Gaza Strip, in which three Palestinian journalists who were documenting the committee's work were killed, said Mohammed Mansour, a spokesperson for the group.

Mansour added that the team was filming a new displacement camp managed by an Egyptian government committee in the Netzarim area. The attack happened about five kilometres from the Israeli-controlled area.

Mahmoud Jamal, from the Egyptian government committee managing the displacement camp, said the journalists "posed no threat."

"This area is a green zone and there was no shelling or anything of the sort. They were there doing their work normally, like everyone else."

Israel's military said it had spotted suspects who were operating a drone that posed a threat to its troops.

In separate attacks, also on Wednesday, a 13-year-old, his father and a 22-year-old man were hit by Israeli drones in the Bureij refugee camp, according to officials from Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Meanwhile, Nasser Hospital said it had received the bodies of one 13-year-old and one woman, both shot by Israeli troops in two separate locations. The boy was in the eastern town of Bani Suheila, while the woman was shot in the Muwasi area of the southern city of Khan Younis.

The boy's mother, Safaa al-Sharafy, said that he had left to gather firewood so she could cook.

"He went out in the morning, hungry," she said, "He told me he'd go quickly and come back."
