At least seven people are missing following a building collapse near the southern Italian city of Naples. Two children are said to be among those being searched for. Rescuers have been digging by hand to try to reach them.

According to reports, the first two floors of the building were undergoing renovation work, so nobody has been living there.

The building is situated close to a railway track. Reports suggest a goods train passed by shortly before the collapse.
