A Russian company is selling a children’s bed shaped like a Buk missile launcher. It boasts a Russian flag and a base that lifts to resemble a missile ready for launch.

The company responsible, CaroBus has been roundly criticised as the bed resembles the launcher which an international investigation recently claimed downed a Malaysia Airlines flight over Ukraine in 2014.

Anton Koppel, CaroBus director has defended his product:

“We present ourselves as a furniture salon that can produce everything. So people use their imagination and order spaceships, submarines and military vehicles of course. For the first time this vehicle was ordered by a former air defense soldier for his child. This was how it was created. After we assembled it, we liked it. It looks great and has an interesting construction. So we included it in our model range.”
