A flood-hit Moscow turned streets into rivers after the Russian capital was been hit by some of the heaviest rains in more than 100 years.

From Sunday night through to Monday, the city saw nearly half the monthly rainfall in just 24 hours.

Dozens of vehicles became stranded in high waters. Up to 80 passengers were rescued from a bus, adding to the more than 200 who were taken to safety around the city.
