Your old profile on one of the first social media networks may have been hacked.

MySpace log in details have been compromised and made available in an online hacker forum after a huge data dump.

The usernames, passwords and email addresses were from the old MySpace platform. That was relaunched in 2013 with tougher security measures.

MySpace said it has taken measures to ensure that nobody can get unauthorized access to anybody’s profile using the leaked details.

Multimedia blogging platform Tumblr said it had also been hit by hackers.

It said a third party had obtained access to a set of Tumblr user email addresses from three years ago.

Security experts have advised internet uses to use different passwords for each online service in light of the breach.
