King Philippe of the Belgians travels on the metro one month after the Brussels attacks
In a show of solidarity with his people, King Philippe of the Belgians has travelled on the Metro in Brussels.

He inspected the memorial wall that has sprung up at Maelbeek station in honour of the 20 people who were killed and the 106 injured here in last month’s suicide bombing.

The monarch got into a train at the Gare Centrale station and travelled out to Maelbeek.
Video footage shows the King waiting on the platform and catching the train with other passengers.
A total of 32 people died and more than 300 were injured in the attack at the metro station and another two at Brussels Airport in March.
Maelbeek station re-opened on Monday.
