European Capitals of Culture San Sebastian and Wroclaw celebrate the accolade

San Sebastian kicked off events as one of this year’s European Capitals of Culture with the traditional ‘‘Tamborrada’‘:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamborrada a celebratory drum festival where those taking part dress as soldiers or cooks and march across the city.

In Poland the city of Wroclaw celebrated the accolade with 'Awakening,':http://www.wroclaw.pl/en/ecc-2016-wroclaw-we-have-awakened-europe four processions led by the four spirits of the city. The Spirit of the Flood, The Spirit of Innovation,The Spirit of Many Faiths and The Spirit of Reconstruction.
