Paris attacks fugitive Salah Abdeslam, caught here on CCTV after the attacks, is reported to have contacted a lawyer.

The story comes from the Belga news agency quoting what it called a reliable source.

The report has appeared in media throughout Europe however there’s been no official confirmation of the contact.

The lawyer in question, Sven Mary, refused to comment on the rumour and Belgian federal prosecutors said they have not been contacted by Mr Mary.

130 people died in the attacks on November the 13 and many more were injured.

Prosecutors in Paris on Thursday said the suicide bomber who blew himself up in a Saint-Denis flat linked to the attackers has been identified as Chakib Akrouh, a Belgian-Moroccan born in Belgium in 1990.
