Rock band System of a Down might look like unlikely ambassadors for a peace mission to reconcile an international dispute that has festered for 100 years.

But the quartet have embarked on a tour to do just that after feeling that their Armenian heritage gave them a responsibility to ensure recognition for the victims of massacres in the Ottoman empire that began in 1915- events they are clear constituted a genocide, a charge vehemently rejected by Turkey.

Euronews caught up with lead singer Serj Tankian and drummer John Dolmayan to hear about their Wake Up the Souls tour .
