US President Donald Trump has had all eyes on him since his arrival in Davos, with many awaiting his Friday speech to the World Economic Forum. "Trump Day in Davos! The US President has been making headlines in Davos since the beginning of the annual gathering, even though his Special Address is closing The four-day World Economic Forum. Last night he hosted a dinner for European business leaders. In an interview with CNBC Donald Trump said:

"When I decided to come to Davos, I didn’t think in terms of elitist or globalist, I thought in terms of lots of people that want to invest lots of money and they’re all coming back to the United States."

I have asked the European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici what he thinks of the US president's Davos debut and his "America First" agenda," reports euronews' Sasha Vakulina.

"First I welcome the fact that Mr Trump is here in Davos. We need to defend our own way and the European way is different than Trump's way. We are attached to multi-lateralism. We refuse protectionism. We are fighting against climate change. We are refusing any kind of discrimination. We forbid the death penalty. We want an open society. We think that equality between

men and women is something absolutely decisive. And we must be proud of that and that's why we must be offensive in promoting this European way. He says America first, I don't say Europe first, but I love the European way. I say we must respond to America First by the European way," he insisted.
