Donald Trump is still weighing up whether to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Israel regards Jerusalem as such, a position almost the entire world rejects, saying its status should be determined in peace talks with the Palestinians.

But Trump's advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner said that Trump had not yet made up his mind.

There is mixed feeling among the residents of Jerusalem, whose home city has been caught up in political battles for millenia.

"We don't care about the bullshit of Trump, as Jerusalem citizens who are living under the Israeli occupation since the 40's, nothing will change to us."

"I think he (US president Donald Trump) waited too long, he should have done it immediately when he became president."

It's particularly controversial, as Palestinians claim the eastern part of the city as their future capital.
