Children were among the first confirmed victims from the shooting.

Officials say at least 26 people were killed and a further 20 injured in the rampage.

Here is a list of the confirmed victims, both killed and injured:

Killed

Annabelle Pomeroy

One of the first victims to be named was Annabelle Pomeroy, the 14-year-old daughter of church pastor Frank Pomeroy, who was away at the time of the massacre.

Bryan and Karla Holcombe

Bryan was guest preaching at the church and he, together with his wife, Karla, were among those to be killed.

Their deaths were confirmed to the New York Times newspaper by their son, Scott Holcombe, 30.

Crystal Holcombe

Crystal Holcombe, daughter-in-law of Bryan and Karla, was also killed, her cousin Nick Uhlig told Associated Press.

She was believed to be eight-months pregnant.

Emily, Megan, Greg, Marc Daniel Holcombe

Their great-grandparents spoke with the Washington Post and confirmed her death.

Noah Holcombe

Marc Daniel Holcombe’s infant daughter has been confirmed a victim of the shooting. Her great-grandparents spoke with the Washington Post and confirmed her death.

Injured

Ryland Ward

Ryland Ward, five, was shot five times during the massacre but survived, a relative told NBC News.

He is out of surgery and is a stable condition, she added.

According to NBC News, there are at least 10 injured.
