Spanish police have arrested eight people in connection with the terror attacks in which 31 people were killed in Brussels last March.
A police spokesman said that all those detained were Moroccan, aged between 21 and 39 years’ old.
The arrests, carried out in conjunction with the Belgian authorities, are part of an eight-month investigation into Islamist militants with links to organised crime in Catalonia.
Police also raided 12 properties in Barcelona at dawn.

Before this morning, the Spanish authorities had already detained 22 people in 16 operations connected with Islamist extremism since the start of the year.
