The UN Security Council has called for officials from the world body to be allowed to monitor the evacuation of people from eastern Aleppo.

The UN Security Council has called for officials from the world body to be allowed to monitor the evacuation of people from eastern Aleppo. It also wants the safety of civilians who remain in the Syrian city to be monitored. The 15-member council adopted a French-drafted resolution that called for “all parties to provide these monitors with safe, immediate and unimpeded access.”
