Felipe Luis has completed his move back to Atletico Madrid and was presented to the media on Wednesday.

The Brazilian International spent four years with Atletico from 2010 helping the side to the La Liga title in his final season before joining Chelsea where he struggled to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s first team.

At his presentation Luis said: “If I was going to leave Chelsea my only option was Atletico Madrid. I had two years left on my contract and I would have had no problem staying with them, but I did prefer the option of moving to Atletico Madrid who were really interested in signing me.”

The 29-year-old defender reportedly cost Chelsea 15.8 million pounds last year.

He played a minor role in helping the blues to the Premier League title and the Capital One Cup.

He has rejoined the Spanish side on a four-year contract worth around 11 million pounds.
