American comedian Bill Cosby admitted to paying women to stay silent after having sex with them, according to testimony obtained by the New York Times.

The evidence has come to light in previously hidden court documents relating to a case in which he was accused of drugging and molesting a woman.

The entertainer is facing a string of sexual assault allegations dating back to the 1960s.
