A triumphant Barcelona team departed from their Berlin hotel on Sunday after a spectacular victory over Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday.

The Catalans, who were on their way to the airport for their return flight to Spain, can expect a heroes’ welcome in Barcelona having secured the trophy, which Pique and Neymar carried proudly onto the bus.

Lionel Messi’s team-mates got off to a strong start with Croatian international Ivan Rakitic opening the scoring from close range in the fourth minute. Luis Suarez and Neymar then both struck in the second-half to seal a 3-1 win over Massimiliano Allegri’s men.

This result sees Barcelona secure their fourth Champions League title in ten years while becoming the first side to win the domestic and European treble twice.
