British royals Prince Harry and Prince William walked the red carpet at the European premiere of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' in London on Tuesday

The cast of the hotly anticipated, Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out in force for its European premiere in London on Tuesday.

Britain’s Princes Harry and William, who make cameos as Stormtroopers in the new film, were among the stars at the Royal Albert Hall.

The pair filmed their parts during a visit to the film's set in Pinewood Studios near London in 2016.

They were joined by a host of robots, Stormtroopers and the movie's human stars like Mark Hammill, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver.

"I think Harry's the Jedi. I think Harry's the Jedi. I really do believe that. So, let's see. Let's see." said Boyega.

The Walt Disney Co film is widely expected to top 2017's global box office.

"Well, the films were originally made for children. We never expected it to be embraced by the adult world. I guess we hit that sweet spot where it's for children of all ages." said Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker.

"But it's basically escapism. People need that where reality is too harsh."

"Whether they go to Hogwarts or Middle Earth or The Land of Oz it's just comforting to go to a galaxy far, far away I guess."

"And I always thought of it as more of a fairytale than actual science-fiction. In ours we had a princess and a farmboy and a pirate and wizard - this is just a continuation of all of that."

The film picks up where the last movie 'The Force Awakens' ended with Ridley's mysterious character Rey confronting the original trilogy's Luke Skywalker (Hamill).

It ends with a dedication to late Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher, who died at age 60 last December after completing her work on The Last Jedi.

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' goes on release in the U.S. and UK on December 15.
