Half a day in St Tropez

The Cote D’Azur makes me smile, the colors of the blush pink and terra-cotta walls are soothing when kissed by the sunshine. It’s a special light favoured by famous artists in the past who were drawn to this region for its magic. A sightThe Citadel de St Tropez is a classic monument worth seeing if you like classic history. Otherwise I suggest visiting one of the many vineyards such as Mas de Chastelas which is also a hotel, Bertrand Bellieu, Chateau de Mares and Chateau Minuty by appointment. Makes for a fun lunch with tutorial. Try the famous light Rose that this area is known for. A hotelI loved the recently opened Kube hotel, which is located right before you enter the village. It boasts 3 pools, spacious rooms, spa, restaurants, rooftop bar and excellent service. Felt relaxed and their shuttle takes you into town anytime of day which is convenient. If you want a beach hotel it’s slightly more difficult but Club 55 has a few rooms you can book one year in advance if you want to walk over to lunch after your morning wake up dip in the Mediterranean! A restaurantI like the Grand Joseph in the marina, a classic for seafood and it’s specialty are crustaceans. Le Ban Hoi offers Thai food with international options in town, a small cobblestone walk located to local artist shops. I saw Karl Lagergeld there once. It’s more casual than other classics like Brasserie des Arts located in the main square of Place des Lices with its music & dance dinner venue. In the port, Barbarac has the most tasty ice cream and Le Senequier is great for a morning coffee or casual aperitif before dinner. A purchase The market on Saturday’s in the main square is a feast for the eyes with local offers from merchants in clothing, cheese, meats, flowers, and wines.
