After suffering a series of heavy shocks linked to regional instability, Sharm El Sheikh has bounced back and is extremely competitive in price compared to the rest of Europe for a beach vacation trip.

A sight

The resort revolves around the attraction of the Red Sea, whether lounging beside its cooling waters or diving or snorkeling is your thing. Whale sharks season is underway and the dappled gracefulness of the world’s biggest fish is both calming and uplifting. Those who don’t want to get their feet wet can watch from the comfort of a glass-bottomed boat.

A hotel

The Four seasons hotel Sharm el Sheikh offers a multitude of restaurant experiences and up to three dives a day.

A restaurant

If you wander into the village neighbouring the Four Seasons you notice many locals walking the streets and a series of authentic restaurants where one is better than the next. Fares restaurant or calamari seafood market are great spots to eat.

A purchase

I found some mini local perfumes as gifts since Egypt produces amazing scents with intense drops similar to cologne, a little goes a very long way.
