Seven years on, Syrian refugees face tough decisions in Lebanon
The Syrian civil war has been raging for seven years now. While Europe argues over the distribution of migrants, no country has taken as many refugees as Lebanon. Syrians made homes in camps and cities there- now, as the fighting ebbs, some have decided to return, others have nothing to return to.

Mezze is a very special restaurant in Lisbon. It is run by a non-governmental organisation. All the employees there are Syrian refugees. We stopped by to taste the food. Today they are doing a workshop, where 13 people are learning how to cook Middle Eastern specialities.

In the small town of Camalò, near Treviso in northeastern Italy, Antonio Calò and his wife Nicoletta three years ago decided to host six African migrants and help them start a new life in their country.The experience turned into a hosting model that this year won the European Citizen’s prize.
