The focus of this edition of our weekly review State of the Union is the very busy week of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Jean-Claude Juncker delivered his last State of the Union address as European Commission president, outlining his political vision of Europe in a post-Juncker era. Just hours later, the chamber voted (by a two-thirds majority) to launch an article 7 disciplinary procedure against Hungary for violating EU democratic core values.
