Irish border issue looms over Brexit

The battle over the Northern Irish border is looming over the next round of Brexit talks.

A hard frontier post Brexit could threathen the peace deal that ended decades of violence on the island.

“Britain needs to offer more credible solutions in terms of how they are going to implement the Good Friday Agreement which is the basis of peace on the island of Ireland and how they are going to deal with the border issues. We do not have credible answers in terms of how that’s possible,“said Simon Coveney, Irish foreign minister.

Businesses are starting to get nervous over what the arrangement will look like once the UK leaves the EU.
