Yesterday in Brussels, the 28 foreign ministers adopted new measures to help Libya stem the flow of asylum seekers.
Some commitments target the smugglers’ economic model, others aim to support the Libyan authorities to control its borders with its neighbors in the Sahel.
The European Commission welcomes the work of journalists, as it denounced threats against the Brussels correspondent of a Polish private television station, accused of wanting to infringe on Warsaw.
It is part of ongoing tension between the Commission and the Polish Conservative government, on the rule of law in the country.
Commission spokesperson, Margaritis Schinas, said the freedom to inform is a fundamental value.
